Y2PRAISE In Princes Risborough

The Y2Praise! team arrived in Princes Risborough just after 5pm after getting only slightly lost when trying to find the venue. We were well received by our hosts who set up a delightful assortment of snacks and sandwiches to energise the team who then took to the stage at around 7:30pm.

 

The audience consisted of young and old, and the songs selected were designed to give something to everyone. The choir did a fantastic job supporting Joyce Mensah (Y2Praise leader) enthusiastically for over two hours!! WELL DONE TO THEM. There were a number of very good solos including little Miss Lamptey who wowed the crowd.

 

The instrumentalists did a fantastic job and it was a pleasure to hear them. They managed to transition the team from song to song in an impressive, entertaining and professional way. The crowd was initially a little hesitant with only a few singing comfortably, but by the time the highlife songs came on, several members of the audience came forward to dance and wave their handkerchiefs which was very very encouraging.

 

David executed some great dance moves and was given a run for his money by a young girl. We also received a word of knowledge from Joe Lamptey (Y2Praise base guitarist & drummer) that God wanted to deliver. Joyce also gave a moving personal testimony and prayed for healing. The concert finally ended close to 10pm and again there were mouth watering refreshments laid out.

 

The team packed their instruments and left around 10:30pm. We arrived back before midnight and overall I felt warmed and thoroughly blessed from all the dancing and fellowship with the members of the team. May God continue to use you all. Well done Joyce and Joe for another fantastic concert!!!
